Breadcrumb Display In Google SERP’s

Google appear to be testing their SERP’s (Search Engine Results Page’s) by adding a breadcrumb to each result.

For those of you that do not know what a breadcrumb is, it refers to a hierachical structure of a website which is used to allow visitors to navigate and locate their current position within the website.

You can see that this site uses breadcrumb above.

Many bloggers have noticed this sporadically occuring with Rob Hammond providing the image below:

Both Google & Bing have continuously mentioned that site architecture plays a crucial role in the a websites rankings. This looks to be further proof of this and will be interesting to see if this is implemented into the majority of results.
